Default Quick disconnect for bags

Looking for ideas and part numbers on quick disconnect. Running amp and speaker wires and want to use deutsch flanged connectors mounted to hard bags, however the amp wire is an 8AWG. Want to know those that have done what connectors you are using and maybe some pics of your setup. Thanks

i have those for my roof rack lights

But he needs 8ga

Best idea is to get weatherpac connectors. They are expensive, but they make 8ga. You can order from summit easily

Yes there are plenty of waterproof connectors out there but my challenge has been finding the 8guage.. I'm sure this has been done before just trying not to reinvent the wheel. Thanks for your feed back I will look at summit.

Does it really need to be 8 gauge wire, or is that overkill? If a smaller waterproof connector could be spliced in, that would make finding one much easier.

I can almost understand 8 gauge wire for a tremendously powerful amplifier, but you sure don't need wire that heavy for speakers.

Another option is to use 2 or 3 of the smaller wires in parallel to equal the 8 ga. wire.

This site has them https://www.wirecare.com/deutsch-connectors-main.asp. Worst case, you can splice it in and use shrink tubing.
