Default Rear turn signals as brake lights

My bike is due for its 1k service next week, and the dealer says they will throw in the flash to have the passing lamps stay on with the brights. I want the rear turn signals to be brake lights as well (not necessarily run, but turn & brake). Dealer says they aren't sure there is a flash for this and they think I might have to add a module. Has anyone done this and know for sure, or point me to a link about it?

If it requires a module then I think I'd rather spring for the Custom Dynamics upgrade instead.

Thanks in advance!

No flash. You have to use HD accessory upgrade brake/turn signal/run module kit which includes the red lens or you can opt for the more expensive LED t/signal upgrade which incl brake/run lamp function.

There is this accy module, but I have to wonder if it can be flashed also. I took my 14 Ultra, replaced the rear fender so I could install a lightbar that plugs into the taillight........same as a RK or CVO has. When I got it all on there I found they also had a brake function.

Update: The turn/brake flash was in fact able to be done, along with the passing lamp flash, as part of the 1k service. So now I have rear turn/brake function, and I'm thinking about Custom Dynamics and/or BAL-1 upgrades back there as well.

the BAL is an awesome upgrade.

some settings easy to PO riding pals and I have settled for a default double flash on brake activation as well as super bright option.

it'll grab eye attention from drivers off to the side when you slow but won;t keep flashing as you continue braking

I bought mine on the used market ( i am cheep) based on my experience would probably pay full retail for one.

Verify that the BAL you get will work with the can-bus. I love my BAL but my bike is waaaay before can-bus.

Thanks, will do! I have already run in to snags due to CAN-BUS, namely that my Auxiliary Passing Lamp Brackets & Turn Signals ("Swept by the Wind"), that I kept off the 06 won't work on the 15 unless I hack up the wiring, or so I'm told. So I will definitely look at compatibility before I buy anything electrical for the 15!

Thanks, I did consider that module but then when I heard that a flash may be possible for the 14-up bikes, went for that option. Now that I have the rear lights operating like I want, I am looking into making them brighter.
