Default 96 inch in an 88?

I have an 05 ultra. I have a line on 06 pistons, jugs, heads and cams out of street glide with supposed 6500 miles! $355 my question is will these work on my 05 88? Any help appreciated 😀

Assuming you meant 96 not 06 ( 2006 was still 88). TC88 and TC96 have same bore size. TC96 has longer stroke. Pistons from a 96 are not compatible with an 88 with stock flywheel.

The heads from the 06 are an upgraded casting from your 05 heads, particularly if you reworked them to have bigger valves and springs for a big cam.

I'm wondering if you didn't get confused that the pistons and jugs that you received were from a 95" big bore kit from the 06, not the 96" setup that would be an 07+ touring configuration.

An 88 and a 96 have the same size pistons, all they did was put in a stroker crank to get the 96" Someone said they won't work, probably because they changed the wrist pin location to accommodate the extra stroke, don't know for sure.I used the 9.4/1 pistons and cyls to make my 88 into a 95. Used 211 cams. It ain't a rocket but added a bunch over stock and is real dependable. I now have 119k and still doing good. Also, some claims that if you take the Pistons out of the cylinders you should put in new rings. I've done it before and got away with it so you might want to take that into consideration too. Perhaps getting new stuff would be more prudent.
