So my 16 RG arrived at the dealer and since I have time to think I'm considering chrome wheels/forks etc.....I'm going with 14" bars so adding magnum shielding brake/clutch lines.


My problem is I like the like the looks of the black pearl colored cables a lot more than the polished stainless lines. Anybody done black brake lines with chrome front ends? How did it look? Any pics would be greatly appreciated.

Thinking about same for my 98 Fatboy, chromed front end with black pearl cables, would love to see some pics too.

 

I know this is opposite of what you are looking for. But here black magnum with black forks. I really like the black pearl cables.

 

That does help and thank you. My bike is either black or chrome and I'm trying to decide if I should match the black tank, fender, etc or chromed front end with Russell polished stainless brake line I already have but could replace as well.

One of the things I notice in pictures is a grey look to the black pearl, as in your pic. I got Magnum to send me some samples of all their cables and in person the black pearl looks more black, as in their on line pics. It may be the cameras are picking up more of the pearl in many pics I have seen than the black, but can you or others comment on that too please.

 

I guess I'd say it's more charcoal color with black fittings

 

Here is my 14 with Chrome wheels and forks with the black lines. I like the contrast.

More chrome Always. But any contrast is a good thing.


New Chrome Front End - Stock Calipers/Cables

 

Thanks for the pics guys. I went with the black pearl cables and the chrome wheels/forks/rotors are supposed to ship next week. Think it's gonna work out great. May do the calipers at some point too.
