What ever slot that holds the front pivot bottom level with the ground. That puts the most force into the front. It also makes it easier to pull it back out. If it is tilted down it takes a lot of force to pull it up and out. Also if it is touching the ground there is no forward force to hold the bike up in the stand.
When set correctly it will hold any bike up without straps as it was intended to do anyone can pull it back out.
I have had Condor Chocks for over 10 years in three different trailers and bikes from the 21 inch tire on a Softail to a touring tire.
It always helps when one reads the instructions that come with a product.

I am having a very difficult time getting out of my condor bike chock with my 15 road glide. Setting is on last notch. Used it with my street bob and had no issues. Would it be wise to drill another hole in the cradle settings further back in order to make this easier for getting out? I use it in my garage and trailer but would prefer parking in my condor in garage over bike stand because bike sits straight up and gives me more room in garage.
Note, I have read the instructions and have also looked for a Condor tire chart showing which settings to use for tire size and have not been able to locate one??

**The optimum cradle setting for a specific tire would be the setting that allows the cradle to tilt as
far forward as possible without making contact with the unit’s mounting surface or ground.**
The 2nd optimum setting would be the setting forward from the optimum setting away from the entry direction. If less retention is desired at
any time due to too much retention or sticking, the cradle may be moved away from the entry direction one notch.
Have you tried moving the cradle one more hole away from the entry point?
