Default Waterproof harness boots that are truely waterproof

Looking for a new pair of harness boots with the square toe that are truely waterproof. Bates uses to seek them, and that have been a great company to deal with.

Having trouble locating a truely waterproof boot in the harness style. Milwaukee has some, but the are listed as water resistant, and Harley has the Huston noted as waterproof..
I want something that has a waterpreeof liner like gortex or the like, not just oiled leather. The last pair of boots I bought were Carolina boots, said to be waterproof and has a scuba liner (generic gortex). Well these aren't quite so water proof.

Any experience with the huston's? Are they truely water proof.

Any suggestions on brands to check?

Have you tried Original Swat boots? I love mine. They have many different styles that are waterproof.

Get which ever pair you covet the most and spray them down with Rustoleums 'Never Wet Spray'. Watch a You-Tube video on it and you'll be amazed what this stuff can do and what it can do it on.

Wife bought me a pair of danner strykers with the goretex liner last winter when I blew the heel out of my double h lacers. So far they have been amazing; both water proof (as far as I can tell) and comfortable for walking. No where close to a slip on engineers boot, or even a heeled boot like I've been used to. I coat all my leather in a product called obenaufs once a year, it's a lanolin based product used by smokejumpers in the PNW that waterproofs and protects leather gear. Yes, seams will let a little bit through, but I don't use them for wading so even in a good rain my feet usually stay dry enough not to be miserable.

They are not waterproof but a great Harness boot that will last a long time is Chippewa.

I have had the Hustons for a few years now and have never got wet feet riding in the rain.

I wear Ariat boots. I have a pair of Ariat Carbide H2O square toe harness, and 2 pair of steel toes... I've had the harness boots for 8 or 10 years, still comfortable, still waterproof.

Best boots I've ever worn....

But they don't make them any longer.

We need to start a campaign to have them made again...
