Modify stock exhaust into 2/1 with Fullsack
08 Road King currently stock 103" motor. Mods coming next is exhaust and air cleaner
I understand that a cheapo mod is to DYI the stock exhaust into a 2 into 1 system by cutting off the rear exhaust plumbing and plating over the hole.
Has anyone done this with a Fullsack core mod in the remaining muffler?
If the goal is performance, is this a waste of time VS a Fullsac true Dual system or stock with FS cores

I do not think that the true dual system will gain HP in my usable rpm range, and if anything it will lose low RPM power or at best be the same with a better sound.
It also seems a simple enough mod to turn the stock system into a 2 into 1 and lose some weight at the same time. Yes I could simply buy one but I am interested if a DYI mod would be better than stock in the under 5K range.

I too believe the cores are a a great product and that is my I am so interested
i am not convinced that on a stock or slightly warmed 103-110 motor that it will gain power at lower rpm range that we normally run in. I would love to hear Steve chime in as my comments are based on my limited knowledge and he would have the empirical data to back up his statement
In any case, my question is related to a CVO single Fullsac muffler, mounted on a stock system modded to a single muffler. Does this provide more usable lower RPM power than a dual Fullsac or Fullsac True Dual.
