Default Question about lowered front springs

I have an 09 Road King Classic that the previous owner lowered front and rear. I want to go back to stock height rear shocks but when I was looking at the box the front springs came in it said they can not be used with stock height rear shocks.
I just cant figure out why it would make any difference. Am I missing something obvious here?

Rake and trail characteristics are adversely affected when the rear is higher than the front.

I agree with the trail and stability issue with a lower front than the rear. But the positive is an easier turn in with a lower front.

Red face

It's interesting that when the MoCo sell us a new 'Low' bike the shocks are shorter, but not the forks. They must do zillions of miles of testing before selling us such things, so I assume they are very happy with the rear end being lower, but have good reasons why they don't lower the forks. It would be nice to know what those reasons are!

Possibly for liability reasons...

Less possible catastrophic adverse handling effects with lowering the rear only ( = More Trail) opposed to lowering the front only ( = Less Trail)
