I kept by 03 Fatboy and my 13 CVO King. Traded my 15 CVO Road Glide Ultra for a 17 CVO Street glide, I have over 7000 miles on it so far.

My wife Kept her 09 Heritage and traded her 15 Road Glide Special for a 17 Road Glide special.

In with yb on this one. My 2009 is a keeper for life. I rode an m8 last year when it was cold out. Seems like it has better wind protection than mine but after getting a new windshield I won't care right now running short guy klockwerks rattles my glasses at highway speeds. Too smooth on the engine. I'm an auto mechanic got hand issues. so on downhill side of mountain passes my hands would fall asleep on my train cause it was too smooth I would be afraid the m8 would do the same thing. My 09 shakes just right. I'm not a huge fan of the rushmore road glide. But then I wasnt a huge fan of the road glide til I saw mine.

The thing is...there is still 120k of wear on lots of the rest of the bike. Last year I had an issue with broken wires in the main harness by the steering head that I attribute partially to wear that was a pain to track down.

All-in-all it made me stall out my motor plans and am more inclined to just keep ridin as is until I buy a new one in a year or two.
That bike served you well with that kind of mileage.I was in the same situation in 2015 with my 05 EGC it had 65k and I loved the bike and debated to do engine work but in the end it had 65k miles so i traded in November for a 2016 SG

I keep hearing they ride like a "metric" why the f*ck would anyone want that? I'd buy a Goldwing if I wanted that. My 09 Roadking is easy to work on, the 96 has more than enough power, and doesn't need 2 plugs on each cylinder, which you have to pull the tank to change the two on the starboard side(lame, IMHO). I don't understand why the herd needs larger engines and smoother rides. Get a winnebago then. BTW, what happened to the "soul" in your old ride?

I bought my 2016 SGS after the M8 came out. There is now I would by a M8 in the first year.

As of now, I have no plans to get rid of my SGS.
