Micro relay Switch on a 2001 Road King
From Greenville, TX , have a 2001 Road King. Belong to the Blue Knights LEO MC, 99%...
Got on bike yesterday, started up no issues, rode for about 30 minutes, came home, turned it off, went to get back on it, turned on ignition, flipped the RUN switch, engaged the start button and nothing. Here is what it does:
All lights come on, when I pushed the start button, I could hear the electric fuel pump engaging, and a clicking coming from the Micro Relay switch, I took off the side cover, put my hand on the switch as I tried to engage it and felt the switch clicking, I pulled it out and tried again all lights etc coming on and working but no clicking sound and nothing.
My question is: Brand new battery, I am almost sure it's the Realy Switch,
Anyone have any advice on this?
Thanks

I had a 2001 EGS, I went through several relays for the starter and the brake light, they are the same model of relay, you can find them under the side cover and they both "click" when activated, several times I rode around with no brake light until noticing. helpful hint, they are interchangeable so you can hot swap them to get the bike going or to have a working brake light until you get to the store to get the replacement.
also...the price wasn't much different at NAPA or HD.
