I am in the process of changing my sound system on a 2015 Ultra Classic. Trying to decide between Hertz or JL audio speakers for the fairing and trunk. Does anyone have an opinion on which speaker setup to get?

Biggest difference between the two, and I've owned both (currently selling the a pair of the 6.5 Hertz Legends now on audio for sale section) - the JL didn't like getting wet and would crackle until they dried (be it rain or washing) - sound quality can be close depending on which JL's speakers you are looking at, amp you are pushing & how you set the gains and HP settings.

 

Are you still using the JLs or something else

 

Hertz speakers have a great name and are a favorite of the guys with big money stereos. I currently have JL Audio C3's and love them. I don't think you would be disappointed with either. The Hertz are a lot more money where I live.

 

Do you have any issues with them if they get wet?

 

i got a JL C5 rain sunshine or washing never have a problem . but your talking about C3
so i say go C5's

 

I'll give someone a deal on the a whole hertz set up if someones interested, since it's been brought up.
