Can't help with the map. I'm wondering if it sounds like you pulled down some of your gutter down spouts and bolted them on. I've heard a couple bikes with gutted stock mufflers and they were hollow and kind of reminded me of a red necks garden tractor that had a piece of water pipe installed because the muffler broke off. I hate to say this but you should invest in a good set of mufflers to get back the power your going to loose with the hosed up stock ones.

The last time I was at "my" dealer a beautiful new (3k miles) '07 cop-glide was sitting there waiting to be picked up. When the person who arrived to do so fired it up (it was inside the overhead door) I about jumped for cover. He rode off and it was louder than hell but didn't sound bad at all otherwise. I asked the service writer what they did to the mufflers (I already knew they were stock from eyeballing the bike). He said they took a plasma cutter to them and performed a bafflectomy (my word, not his). I wish I'd have known that ahead of time; I'd liked to have taken a close look into the ends... I know one cop who won't be pulling anyone over for noise ordinance violations!

No help whatsoever on the map. For something like that you're just going to have to spring for a dyno-tune.

I just want something different from my ovals for a little while. I like the ovals for highway use. But they are very quiet at idle. I want something that will bark for cheap. Just finding a map to be close would work great for the ride to work.
