Default 03 FLHTCI NOT CHARGING

My 03 electra glide classic is not charging, I took the battery to Auto Zone and had them put a load on the battery and it came back good. I am assuming that the voltage regulator would be the next part to eliminate, but I don't know how to check it. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks in advance

Odds are it's the stator, the go defective fairly often. I'm on # 3 at 65,000 kms.

Take a look at the "Do It Yourself" (electrical and lighting) part of the HDF and you will find two excellent stickys on checking your charging system and identifying the problem. They appear to be right out of the HD Electronics Diagnostic Manual.

the first thing right off the bat i would check is the ground cable at the starter bolt. The ground cable is secured at one of the mounting bolts, behind the rear jug,for the starter. Start there first to make sure it is tight....

The last timeI changed my stator, I also changed the regulator. The mechanic that changed the stator recomended thatI change the battery also. Something about an old battery that doesn't want to accept the full amount of charge the stator is trying to push into the battery, making the stator go defective over time.
