I posted before about my son`s "free" 1982 GL500. Well it is finally road worthy and today he made his first ride of over a mile away from the house. I spent many hours and about $500 to get to this point. We only rode about 65 miles because of windy conditions and 90 deg heat but he was proud as could be. I lead with him in the middle and his mom behind him. Nice easy ride. The bike performed without any problems. I think I was as proud as he was. So now we have another bagger in the family! And he will be 16 on July 1st.

Sweet. Although I've been riding many years, I enrolled with my son and we are taking the MSF safety course together in August. His ride is a Yamaha V-Star 650. I can't wait to look over and see my boy on his own bike. Make some memories you'll both cherish forever.
