Khromewerks Sweeper Handlebars Installed
I read Bert's and Dawg's posts on the Khromewerks +2 Sweeper handlebars (300515) and I immediately knew had to get them on my SG. And wouldn't you know it, my wife happened to know that was what I wanted for my birthday a couple weeks ago!
The handlebars are on and what an incredible difference. It's like having a new bike. The grips are straighter and not angled, the bars sweep back closer to me so the reach is much better, and the width is perfect. Way more comfortable than stock and they look great.
With these handlebars, I believe it is way easier to handle the bike in slow turns and provides great control at speed. The Kuryakyn ISO grips are every bit as good as what I read on the forum.
As for the installation I usually do my own work but a week earlier I had the exhaust off twice trying to fix an exhaust leak. That easy project turned into a PITA project and I wasn't in the mood to do it all over again. So I dropped the bike off at the dealership and and the install done there. It ran $300 and they even wired everything internally. I didn't like parting with the cash for the labor, but in this case it was worth it.
I will post some pictures when I get a chance, but for now I will just say thanks to Burt and Dawg for the posts on the subject. This was a great upgrade.
