Default Changed Handlebars

I changed my handlebars to the reach bars yesterday .I am 5'6" and needed the extra reach works perfect added the kuryakyn ISO preminum grips awesome but I hope I don't have to do it again for awhile. I have been a Mechanic all my life and I don't remember anything fighting me as much as this project did. What should have been a simple project turned out to be about six hours long, but it was just me. End result is awesome I recomend the reach bars for anyone that has short arms.

This is on my list of things I want/need to do. I've heard they are a bear to install. Are these the same as the Harley touring pull back bars?

Yea the part # is 56176-08 the dealer said I needed a short extension connector for the twist grip sensor I put it in but not sure if it was actuallu needed just. just reat the manual, biggest problem for me was you have to get the inner faring at least loossened up and back to be able to get to the back handlebar clamp bolts. the job shouldn't have been as hard as it was, it just was one of those days that S**t fought me and I am to stubborn to walk away for awhile, stuff like the outer faring didn't want to line back up, I want to find the guy with the bitch hands that designed where the 4 bolts that hold the stereo in were placed. But with all that end result was a great new feel and comfort for my short arms and the kury iso grips feel alot better than the skinny stock ones, fill your hands with grip.

A pair of needle nose pliers and a ball ended allen wrench works great.

Hey bones great idea. That's kinda what I did took a allen wrench and put pair of needle nose vise grips on and worked. I also have a set of plastic handle t allen wrenches that it just so happened I had cut most of the t off of the size I needed put a 3/4 opened wrench on that worked gfreat too was just tight.
