Default poly or solid handlebar bushings?

i need to ditch these stock handlebar bushings and get something stiffer.

so whats better the poly ones, or the solid ones?
the solid ones will eliminate any movement, but will i get alot of vibes through the bars?

and for the poly ones, are they stiff enough?

I had good luck with the stock bushings, altering compression to tune out vibrations- my problem was hands going numb ( and i already have a history of carpal tunnel problems). A few tries and the bars stopped vibrating at a frequency that affected me. Have you tried adjusting your bushings first? ...and turns out the stock grips work better for me than the dozen aftermarket grips i tried. Mike

Just curious, what's the issue with the stock ones?

You may want to check the lower clamp bolts. If they aren't torqued your bars will be sloppy.

I went from the stock rubber ones to urethane ones great improvement and still have some flex and isolation.

Just picked up the Harley poly bushings and installed them along with my PYO Monkey bars. I really like the poly. Much better than stock!

Besides a poor 2-piece design, the stock rubber bushings shrink with age to contribute to handlebar slop.
My understanding is that solid bushings are only needed for the more extreme ape hangers. Poly bushings are best for most other applications.
Poly bushings have worked well for my heavier than stock bars with only a slight increase in vibration at about 2200 RPM. The poly is durable too, after more than 5 years my bars still have no play.

Hoblick. How much of a hassle would it be to change them out if he poly don't work? Pretty simple task?

Should be easy compared to installing the bars themselves.....

I'll be installing 14" PYO MBB's. At the recommendation of Dr. Vtwin, I went with poly bushings.
