A dealer is having a special price on SE 103 big bore kits. They quoted $795 plus tax on the big bore parts and labor. Quoted $1400 for big bore and 203 cam parts and labor. On top of the cam cost, there would be a need for a SERT, Power Commander, etc, or the HD stage II download. What does everyone think about the deal. The big bore price seems right, but the price with cams seems a bit steep.

Good price, however I would do some serious checking on the service department if you don't know them to make sure they are up to the caliber of work you would be satisfied with.

That sounds like a fair price if they have qualified guys doing the work. I had a stage 2 with 255 cams done a couple of weeks ago, parts retail less 15% + $650 Labor. Total about $1400 including new dyno. Dealer had winter special on labor at $50 per hour hour. The price above was based on 10 hours install the 103 plus 3 hours dyno. I'm sure they did it in fewer hours but that seemed fair. The seat of the pants feel says it was worth it! It's in for a dyno now after the the new break in.

There was no mention of dyno time. I would trust the dealer. They have a good rep and I have had a very positive expierence with them in the past. That is a bunch of money to drop for me though, its tempting, but may have to wait till next winter.

The guy I bought mine fr had the STG II done w just the download and said it would ping so he spent another $1800 for Rinehart TD's, SERT, and Dyno. I see you have the TD's so that will save, but I would check with others in your area about SERT and Dyno vs. just the download. We live a 4000 ft. and climb to 8-10000 ft so I don't know if that has an effect.

If Fully trust their work to be done to perfection are actually getting more bang for your buck with the cam work .. Don't have the HP figures handy off the top of my head but will gain far more Horsepower ..

Seems like a good price. I paid 1500.00 for the stage 2 install, dyno time, and parts and labor. If I stayed street legal with the download and OEM slipons it would have been 1800.
