Default I want to paint "Harley Davidson" on my bare cop tank

My cop scooter came with a bare tank and I want to paint a cool looking "Harley Davidson" on the sides. Any suggestions? Any recommendations near Austin, Texas?

that's one of the first things i got rid of on my 08 streetglide. that plastic harley davidson emblem on the tank. you can check with your harley parts man and have him show you the factory deacals. there is a big book of choices. have the painter apply the decals, then clearcoat over them. that way with him applying them if he's familiar with the process, he'll not get bubbles or nibs in the decal before squirting on the clear. i prefer the mid eighties dyna harley davidson decals the best. it's just a choice you gotta make.

I bought cut vinyl decals from a vendor on Ebay. I haven't coated over them and just go slowly when wiping the tank down. If I change my mind, I can easily peel them off. In keeping with the basic police black/white scheme, I thought I'd keep the graphics just as simple.

My tank was "bare" as well when i got my FLHPi, though i didn't want to go with anything "obvious" still wanted to keep the look of a black bike, so i went with a ghosted bar/shield with some ghost flames. Need to catch it right and its very apparent, otherwise, tank looks black.

If I could, I would remove all HD markings on my scoot. The MoCo isn't paying me to advertise their product. Why would you want to volunteer to do free advertising for them?

Find yourself a good airbrush artist/lettering artist. He (or she) may will have some ideas that you can incorporate into your design to make it yours alone.

Is that air brushed? That's as unique as it is bad ***.
