Default What battery do you use? (other than Harley)

I never had a problem up north with Harley batteries. They lasted 5+yrs.

Down here in Sunny Florida, about 2 yrs. Might as well buy a 50 dollar WalMart battery!!!

FWIW, Deka makes the HD batteries. The Deka ETX30L is the 66010-97C battery. If you can find a good deal on a Deka battery in your area you could save some cash.

Also check out a retail store called Batteries Plus. They have a website http://www.batteriesplus.com/ They have locations all over the country and sell the sealed type AGM batteries like is in our bikes. They usually run between $70 and $80. The ones at Walmart are junk.

I have used Yuasa batteries for years. Rather pricey but well worth it.
I have had the same one in my Yamaha Grizzly 660 for 6 years and it is still kicking!
Part Number YIX30L will work in all touring bikes.

I have had luck with every battery I bought out of BatteriesPlus. They are a good store and don't sell crappy batteries.
