Default Tuning problems on my 2010 FLHX 103" Stage 4

I'm having trouble, or should I say the dealer is having trouble, getting my stage 4 running correctly. I purchased it new in November with the stage 4 kit installed and from the get go I had trouble starting it when it was hot. Long story short, it was manually "re-tuned" about 4 or 5 times before the dealer recently got a dyno. After the dyno it now has a nice smooth power arc but now it's back to running rough at idle/low revs. It also stutters at around 4000 rpm's in second gear after being restarted (warm bike) but after doing it once it seems to come good. They set the fuel mixture a little rich for the power but is that affecting the low rev area? Is there a happy medium?
I realise there is a thousand variables here, but was just wondering if anyone else is having problems with their Stage 4!

Just because they have a dyno doesn't mean they know how to use it. When a bike has been properly tuned it should start nicely when cold or hot. It should run smooth at all rpms and get good fuel mileage. Some of the tuning devices allow you to "tune" so many area's of where the bike runs. Just a lack of dyno operators that know why, what and when to adjust. A tuner can't cure a bad combination of parts, but it doesn't sound like this is your problem.

Thanks for the feedback LW.
I realise genuine engine upgrades don't always have the best performance but they should work flawlessly being "factory" parts. I think it's definitely a case of lack of experience on the dyno operators behalf.
It's book in next week for some more adjustment, so finger crossed.....

Option 2: find an experienced dyno operator elsewhere...

i am having similar issues with mine 2010 wide glide with the 103 stage 4. Mine ran good just had a hard time starting when hot and later even when cold. I found out the only way to start the bike was to open the throttle while pushing the starter. I just got this package installed so they have the bike and are working with Harley on a fix. I will let you know what they say.

I had a Stage IV kit installed in my Softail Deluxe about a month ago... Right now it has the H-D canned map in it until I get a few miles on it so it can be dyno tuned... I'll be the first to admit it runs "rough" right in the 2000-3500 rpm range, especially when the engine has no real load on it and in a lower gear... Idles pretty good and runs like a freight train when going hard thru the gears... Know a guy that has the same kit and his did the same exact thing until dyno tuned....his ran great after... That's what I'm hoping for!
