Where have you guys taken your rides for a dyno tuning? Also what exactlly does this do for the bike?I did the stage 1 but never had it professionally tuned. Will the professional tuning make that much difference? And how much does it cost? Thanks
How does your bike run? By stage 1 that means you did the pipes, jets, and A/C? I'm a huge fan of dyno tuning but probably not after a stage 1. Dyno tuning will cost you a couple hundred bucks as well so weigh that in your decision. If you had a competent tech do the rejetting and you check your plugs from time to time and they're normal, I wouldn't get a dyno until you do something a little more sophisticated.
yeah at 284 bux a pop at HD locally, I cant see it as my bike runs like a scalded dog already. If it were reasonably priced, 100 bux? It would be maybe worth it.

I did the pipes, air intake and jets myself.I followed ******'s instructions and drilled out the fuel mixture screw and adjusted that too The bike runs great and gets better gas mileage too.As you can see from my sig below,I have the mods listed there.I guess the only thing a dyno would do for me is tell me HP and Torque, and cost me $$$$.
you can prolly estimate your HP and torque within a few hp by figuring your mods and pipes

At stage 1, HP and torque are less important than how the bike feels to you. HP and torque numbers are really just numbers. If you like the way your bike runs and have checked your plugs since the upgrade (assuming you've put a hundred miles or so on it) and they're ok, I certainly wouldn't spend the money. Enjoy!
You can get very good results with a wide band o2 and gage so you can see what your fuel air mixture is under all conditions. It is much better than just seat of the pants. The dyno with a person experienced with harleys is better yet.
Dyno tunes are for those of us that really want our bike running perfect and for those of us that have modded enough to really need to have the a/f correct. I recently saw the insides of an engine where tuning was neglected after a pipe change and the detonation caused both pistons to break and cause some serious damage. I can tell you that your bike will never run better than after you pick it up from a reputable tuner. My bike does not require the choke. Tuning is perfect and a/f stays near 13 to 1 thru the whole rpm range. Lean is bad on a high compression bike and Terp and myself have 10.5 to 1 setups.
