Default Dyno tune?

Last weekend I found out that JMS Chip & Performance is located about thirty miles from my house. I had no idea it was there. They have in-house Mustang & Dynojet Chassis dyno's. I stopped by and talked to the guy and he said they would tune my bike with PCIII for $200.

1) I only have a stage 1 bike....is it worth paying to have it tuned? I guess I would like to have it done not to gain anymore performance but for peace of mind that it's right and I won't be damaging anything running too rich or too lean.

2) Is $200 a fair price for a dyno tune?

depends on how long they spend tunning, it could be real fair if it takes a while to get it dialed in perfect, or it could already be there and it would only take them 20min to dial it in. Most shops charge by the hour not just a flat rate.

At any rate I highly recommend a dyno tune your bike will thank you and you will defiantly be happy.

See how much to just do a dyno run and see what your A/F is and then decide if its worth the tune. My stealer has a dyno and they where only gonna charge me 32.50 for a pass it only took them 20min and they actually didnt even charge me.

$200 for a tune is not bad if it's just for a diagnostic run it's a rip off. The real question is are you happy with the way it runs? My bike was roughly stage one and it ran like crap so to me it was worth it to pay quite a bit more than that to get it running right.

I'm really not unhappy with the way it runs. I would like to make sure I'm not running too lean and causing any damage. I'm not sure how I can know without a dyno run. I'll give them a call today and see if they will just do a run to check the AFR.
