Default How too tell if you have abs

hi just wondering how you can tell if bike has abs brakes? dealer siad i did but i am not sure? was researching handle bar replacements it siad i would need a longer brake line and it ties in under the seat? but from looking at mine it looks like it runs down to the junction at the front forks? it is a 2009 flht standard. thanks for the help

There will be an ABS light on and flashing when you start your bike until you roll about 10 feet.

You will see a wire running with the brake hose down to the left side of the front wheel.

Look on the left side of the front wheel hub. If it has a black band, it has ABS. At least that is what my local dealer told me when I was looking at new....

If you have ABS there will be an extra wire that runs down with the left side brake line on the front wheel that connects with the sensor. Another way is to pull the right side cover, if you have a large aluminum block with all of the brake lines running to it. Also when you first start the bike the ABS light will come on and stay on till you are up to about 8 miles an hour. The last one is the ABS system check.

Just look at the front wheel, right side has a metal spacer, left side will show a black rubber spacer....
