Cable Length Over Stock - Road King with 14" Wild 1 Apes
Switching out my road king high bars for a set of Wild 1 Chubby 14" Apes (I think I've settled on the 14s instead of the 16s anyways) and wondered if anyone had done the same switch and knew how much longer I need to go on cables and brakeline?
A appreciate the help. Was at my Indy today and they suggest mounting up the bars and then measuring but I want to do the work myself and don't want the bike down while I order parts.

Steelhead - Did you get those apes installed? what cable length did you end up going with and are you happy with the length?
im starting my ape install in a couple weeks, just need cables.
oh, one more thing, where did you buy them?
thanks in advance.

Yes, got them installed and loved the bars. If I had it to do over I would go with 16" but oh well, live and learn. Got the bars direct from Wild 1, got the cables from Dr. V-Twin. They were great to work with. I can't remember what the length was though. Sorry. I think throttle, idle and brake were 6 over and the clutch 8 but can't remember for sure.
I sold the bike recently though as I couldn't swing having two and I wanted a CVO Street Glide. Now I am back to the start getting all the parts to put bagger apes on it. Trying to decide between 12.5 and 14" bars.
Good luck with your project, I think you will be happy you did it.
