Default Apes on 2017 Road King

I am unable to find definitively what size bars I can put on my bike without having to switch out cables. I have been told up to 14" for the 2017s, but that seems a bit much.

i would think the 14-17 are all the same...... i know you can go at least 12" without changing anything

Why would you want to base your bar choice on cable length? I would think you'd want the most comfortable bars you can find, and buy the cables you need.

Staying with stock cables, you are left with.... stock cables. Yech. Plus when you do that, its always stretched to the limit, etc.

I decided to go with 14'' Khromewerk bobber apes on my king and had to swap the clutch cable. (easy job)I ended up rerouting the brake line outside of the nacelle but still through the precut hole and managed to get by with the stock line. I could have actually went 16''.
