2011 Touring 103 PowerPak testing by Fuel Moto
Fuel Moto purchased and recieved our 2011 103" PowerPak Road King last week which we will use for our continuing R&D for Fuel Moto/Jackpot products as well as some of the products we help develop for several other companies. As you know the signifigant feature of the PowerPak is the 103" motor. This is standard on several 2011 Touring models, and is available as an option on most others and it is bundled with ABS and Security, also note the 103" includes an oil cooler. This engine is essentially the same as the previous 103" motor in the Ultra Limited and Police models, it uses the same cams as the 96" motor however the extra displacement helps performance a bit, especially low end torque. We have found thru our testing over the last couple of years, especially thru all the work we did with the 2010 Ultra Limited that the 103 is very receptive to bolt on mods ranging from tuning and replacing the intake, mufflers and exhaust, as well as signifigant gains from swapping cams. We have seen as much as +30Hp +15Tq increases from these bolt on modifications and a cam change on the factory 103" bikes. For those of you on the fence about the PowerPak option, having logged many many miles on the 09-newer 96" bikes I am very impressed with the 103" and would highly recommend it. We have done a full range of dyno testing to get baseline information and we have started developing our PC-V maps. Here are a few charts from the completely stock bike, then with the addition of Jackpot Dyno Tuned mufflers which were immediately swapped and tested within 20 minutes of the original test. This test shows just how restrictive the stock catalyst is. The final test was done with a PC-V installed and the only changes were the rev limiter was changed and I added +4 igntion timing at full throttle to show how well the bike responds to ignition timing and how much smoother it makes the curve. We have not yet adjusted the AFR in any other parameters. I will post more info as it becomes available.

When I called Jamie about a 103" kit for my '10 Ultra, he said, "why not just go 106" or 107'".
I bet before long, Jamie will be doing some106"/107" testing as well......we'll have to wait and see! (wink).
I'm still waiting to see what cylinder and heads he'll be using on my bike! I will say, whatever he chooses will be the best thats out there (humming the theme from Jepordy).

I'm pretty certain the PCV itself will work, but there's a new throttle body in the '11 bikes that requires a different calibration, so new maps are in order...
