I ride a 2010 Limited. I just got back from the Americas 911 Ride and was checking out my bike, doing the 15,000 mile service items. Upon inspection of the rear pads, I estimate that I have about 40% of the rear pad left. I checked with the local dealer and was told that the pads appear to last longer than a rear tire, about 15,000 miles, but not as long as two tires. I would assume I will be changing the rear pads about 20,000 to 25,000 miles. How does this compare to what you are seeing. The front pads are hardly worn yet.

 

I replace front and rear brake pads every 25k or so. They still have some life to them but it's just like tire's, change them before they wear out.

 

I have an 07 ultra and run the E3 tire and rear brake pads are changed with tire. mostly depends on how much braking you do or ride the brake. coming to a stop I will coast and then stop If I am by myself.

 

completely depends on the rider--- and type of riding--- you can ride 1000 hiway miles and only use the brake 4 times for fuel stops

some riders rely on the front brakes and use them so as to minimise overheating, fade and warping.

My Pal Rick uses his rear brake all the time, skids, warps, fades and pretty much doesn't have a clue... his pipes are also the loudest.
Aside from that he's a nice Guy

Im a city rider. Stop and go. I can tell you my rears are done by 9500 miles

 

I just personally changed them last week. The stock pads has slits cut into them. They disappear when they are worn. They were gone when I changed then out

 

I have a buddy that rides similar to your pal Rick and he's been riding for 25 years or more. I replaced his rear pads that were absolutely shot at about
18k miles. His fronts are great. I have about the same miles with less than
50% wear.

 

I changed the front and rears at around 28k, I got all they had to give out of them..

 

All depends on the rider and situations, as stated before if you do a lot of hwy riding your brakes are obviously going to last longer.

 

replaced the fronts at 12,000 miles. lots left on the rear.
