Default Fork Oil Capacity??

Ok, my manual sucks. I have an '05 Road King Classic and my manual is pretty vague on the fork capacity.

Can someone PLEASE help me out? What is the fork oil capacity?

Thanks a bunch!!

My '06 SM states: All models "except" RK 10.8 oz. RK models 11.1. Why not just measure what came out and replace that amount.

My 09 RK says 11 oz. But when I changed mine only 9 1/2 oz. came out, so that's all I put back in. The reservoir seems pretty big so I would think if you put a little too much in it wouldn't be a problem.

I can't measure what came out. They're new forks and they're empty.

In that case bud...I think you're screwed.

Actually, I would just measure out between 10.75 and 11 oz. and let it go at that.

When I bought the chrome lowers from the dealer, the service guy put a note on the fork oil bottles, 9.6 oz only and he highlighted it...I have an 01' roadking..what would happen if you put and extra 1/2 oz in it?

Too much oil and they will be stiff. The proper way to do it is leave equal amounts of air in both legs. Different models have different specs (in the manual) but IIRC its around 4".
