My 09 RK says 11 oz. But when I changed mine only 9 1/2 oz. came out, so that's all I put back in. The reservoir seems pretty big so I would think if you put a little too much in it wouldn't be a problem.
When I bought the chrome lowers from the dealer, the service guy put a note on the fork oil bottles, 9.6 oz only and he highlighted it...I have an 01' roadking..what would happen if you put and extra 1/2 oz in it?
Too much oil and they will be stiff. The proper way to do it is leave equal amounts of air in both legs. Different models have different specs (in the manual) but IIRC its around 4".
