Fork Oil Capacity??

The best way to do it is to compress the fork with the spring and a little more oil than specified then use the tool until it measures a specified distance from the top. Make sure you pump the fork a few times. Too much oil and your fork will not compress and will be stiff. Too little and they will be mushy and may bottom. 1/2 oz can make a big difference. Motion pro has a nice tool for setting the proper level. You can also use it to tune your forks by adding and removing small amounts of oil while they are on the bike.

There is a difference between the older bikes and the newer bikes of about an ounce.

'09 SG with damper valve requires 10.7oz or is 125mm from top.
Manual says '09 RK is 11 oz or 125mm from top.

Correct Sir. My Shadetree Manual says 5 inches from the top of a compressed tube with springs installed.
