Default Painted Inner Fairing on SG

I want to get the painted inner fairing for my SG, but I have a concern.
Being that my bike is the very bright Tequila Sunrise/ HD Orange I'm wondering if the glare from the sun would be a bit to much and make things even hoter in the summer.
Has anyone had glare problems with their painted inner fairing, and while on the subject how much labor the dealer charged, I can do it my self but I'm getting lazy lately..

I live in Lake Havasu AZ we haven't seen a day under 110 degrees since i can't remember and i ride my SG everyday to & from work.It is black but the last thing i worry about is the glare from the fairing(no additional heat what so ever).I wouldn't even consider the orange and glare to be a factor. The painted inner fairing sure is nice i think as much as you would like the painted fairing you would not even think about the glare.Good luck in your decision that orange will sure look nice!

If you pull your own fairing; which you can do. You can probably get it painted for around $200.00

I think it would look great. My opinion is every color but black, the painted inner fairing looks awesome. Black to me just isn't worth it.

To me it was worth it just for the ease of cleaning the inner fairing.

I was thinking originally Vivid Black on mine to begin with but hearing about it being a dust magnet I think I'm going color match (Red Hot Sunglo). I would guess any dark color would be a dust magnet but probably not as much as the black.

I've gotten my Tequila Sunrise inner on order now for about 3 weeks. I'm not worried about the glare.

I can tell you, that you won't be getting your stock fairing shot for that price. I talked with a company in Golden Colorado, who used to paint bikes for teh Harley CVO lineup. I was quoted over $500 bringing to them, more if they filled the mirror holes. And that was for their matched paint, not a quart of it from HD.

In the end, I ordered from my dealer, because allegedly there are issues sometimes with the paint, and the way they're packaged from the warehouse, shipping is around $75 cause the box is over 108" in girth.
Paying that once is ok if the paint is perfect, but if not, you just ate up any savings from ordering online.

I think I paid about $530 OTD for the fairing. My dealer gave me 10% off for military...
