I am a new owner of a 02 Road King. I am getting ready to change the oils. Is there a drain for the primary or do you just unscrew the access plate? Once drained how much oil does the primary hold?

look for a pipe plug in the outer housing just under the derby cover Torx 27 maybe? look at 6 oclock under the derby cover

 

A pipe plug below the clutch access cover to drain and 32 oz of your favorite Primary Chain Case oil IE; FORMULA + OR 20-50 Amsoil. While there, check the primary chain and clutch adjustments. A manuel helps.

 

When you replace the plug, put tape around the threads and don't screw it in too far. You should pick up a service manual.
