With cold weather just around the corner, I am contemplating buying one of these (part # 58314-97) tall windshields. I replaced my stock 12" with a 9.5" clearview recurve because the top was right in my line of sight.


If you have the same top of the stock shield issue and replaced it with this taller 15" shield, do you still have any line of sight issues? Do you get better cold wind protection? Also, I would like to see some pics of this mounted up.

I dont have the 15" one but i do have a 14" and i look through it just fine and yes it does give you better protection and i also use a 9" for warmer weather! BTW I'am 6'1" sorry no pictures!!

 

Here's a pic of my Memphis Shades 15" gradient black shield.

I bought this shield just for grins a couple years ago , I can barely see over an 8" shield.
It's very "car like" for wind protection , but effects handling pretty bad in strong winds and two lanes when a truck comes the other way.
I look about 7" under the top of it and the weather protection is quite amazing.
The windshield bag is a big Harley single pouch , and hides behind the tint pretty well.
The Memphis shields are very clear and easy to clean , very thick and don't flex much.
I ride well into the very cold weather , so it's my cold weather shield of choice.
