Default Luv My Dyno, But...MPG Sux

Luv My Dyno, But......the gas milage is horrible.. 25 mpg, city/hwy both..
Worst it's ever been, but the bike runs fantastic-o,(Feuling 525 Cams, Rinehart slips, stock head pipe, PC-V, and Ness stage1 AC.)) and I ain't been burnin' it up that much, some, yes but not that much...
I guess back to the dyno-er a we will go..when we get there..
Day-um, I guess that you just can't have it all, all the time, huh?

That's about all I get on my 2012 SG, I think its because since I installed the TW-555 cams I've been riding like a maniac.

My tuner (Throttle City) tend to tune a little "rich", but the bike runs cool and pulls like a freight train.

when i was shopping, one of the bikes i looked at with a PCV was getting 32 MPG--- the black smoke behoind the bike made it clear that tuning was an issue.

I doubt that the cam overlap is enough to cut mileage by 40%

poor mpg doesn't demonstrate performance but just unburned fuel.

and an over rich mixture can provide less power than a correct mixture.

if tuning have them look at the AFR in the 2500-3200 rpm range that's where most riding is

25 mpg sounds awful low to me...
Even taking it it half way easy you should be able to pull 35 plus.
Chances are if you are pusing 25 mpg into the cyclnders on a regular basis at least some of it going past the piston rings into the oil. This will also cause extreme cylinder / piston wear.
If it was me I would get a second opinion...

Yeah I put in the SE255's and big sucker intake, rinehart 2nto1 and no dyno, Bryan from fuel moto made me a map and I get anywhere from 36 to 42 depending how I ride.. I do however get this popping sound thru the intake only at 3000 rpm, do any of you guy's get that, it's like air slamming thru, if not maybe I'll put it out in main board to see if someone can help with it, not causing a problem just irritating at 3000 rpm in any gear, goes away below and above.. weird. ooopss sorry to get off topic man...

I had decel pop too and Fuel moto(Jamie, Keith and Brian could not help me, nor could Roy Hartmen of Dynojet,(trust me I gave them both umpteen opportunities to the point that they are on my Christmas card list) so I said screw it and had it dyno-ed and the bike runs great, and I rarely seldom if ever have any decel pop, but now crappy MPG What a trade off huh?

Check out this thread Reaper 22, this is one of the reasons why I had my ride dyno-ed 3-1 in favor of it..

Too rich and probably a spark timing issue as well. That mileage is way wrong. Your tuner has some things out of whack for sure.
