Default Correct torque for toe shifter allen bolt?

For the allen socket head bolt that tightens the shift lever to the splined shift shaft. I cannot find this information anywhere in the manual. Is this a grade 8 bolt? If you know the torque spec for this bolt I would appreciate knowing it. Lots of people on here just say to tighten the crap out of it with a 3/8" ratchet, but I definitely do not want to break off the bolt in the shift lever.

Thank you.

I think that is a 5/16-18 shcs, most likely around 25 to 29 ft. lbs. Look up torque values chart on the internet.

It is 18-22 ft-lbs. for the outer shift lever 5/16-18 SHCS. Torque values are are at the beginning of every chapter in the service manual.

The instructions that came with my HD billet shift lever says 24-26 ft lbs.

Good to know, I was toying with the idea of using a 1/2-3/4" longer bolt then shiming the diff to bring the peg out further. I keep having to turn my toe in all the time and that's with removing the heal shifter and bringing the peg all the way to the end of the spline.....thanks guys

Yes, blue loctite on both spline and bolt. Planned on that.
