Default Another failed compensator

Last fall while my bike was in shop for leaking main tranny seal, I tried to get the dealer to replace/upgrade my compensator based on known failures. They said they could not unless it had failed. Took it in Tuesday for new tires, and told them I was hearing some noise from the primary. Sure enough, the compensator had failed. Tech said the two parts almost fused together solid. The got the ESP to cover upgrade to SE compensator, and I must say it seems incredibly smooth and quiet, especially under hot restarts. Tried to get them to give me the failed one, they said HD now requesting all failed ones be sent back to them.

That's one less things to worry about. I got mine done last summer. Unfortunately not while under warranty.

Exactly. Use the red loctite, torque the damn thing to 145 lbs, and let it sit for a few hours for the loctite to set up. You will have NO bolt problem. The only bolt problems are those that are incorrectly installed.

Stupid question..Wouldn't the blue Loctite be sufficient? I try to avoid using red wherever possible in case I want to get the damn thing off again (whatever it may be) without wrecking something...I think the blue Loctite is still far superior to that yellow junk Harley uses..Am I wrong?
