I also had the J&M on my last 2 bikes, until I went to an Ultra which came with the factory CB. Never regretted the J&M unit. WOrked well, others always complementing it clarity, etc. Good intercom system.
I did fabricate my own antenna mount system.
Getting the antenna grounded was the hard part. Used an antenna with an adjustable tip, I had better range than factory units on Harley & Goldwings.

Get the J&M dual model.

Shop around, Ebay, Craigslist, etc. They can run about $700 when you get everything you need. I bought the Harley CB antenna Kit and installed on my EGC. The Headsets can be costly.

I have an E Glide Classic. Put on a J&M CB with the J&M hidden CB Fairing mount antenna. Works wonderful!! I also purchased an IMC helmetless headset. I then bought a HD CB tank console and installed the J&M CB plug in it. I am pleased and you can ask my wife. I am one picky son of a gun when it come to my scooter. Just my 2 cents worth and your mileage may vary. Both J&M and IMC are sponsors here on the forum. Just look to the right of your screen and click on there name to see for yourself.
