Default 2012 Ultra, FM/AC Xied... love it

In my opinion:
Really loving my 2012 Ultra.... frame redesign is great...really hugs the road and curves much better. 2 up riding is very stable. Love the 103.....6th gear is now a dream at much lower speeds....very useable.

Broke it in properly and had the fluids changed at 1000 miles.

then changed out the OEM AC with a Fuel Moto air cleaner....very easy install and used the OEM cover.

Added an FL-Xied-10..... added more fuel.....and with the AC above great combo... for me anyhow. Very very easy install.....placement of the connectors couldn't have been at an easier and more convenient place..... Tied it all away and had that installed in minutes.

Highly recommend taking at least a 20 mile ride to get the ECM to adjust to everything. Was watching the range calculator go down really fast the first 10 miles and then as it was adjusting it started adding miles back.

A little deeper and a little more sound with more air and gas combo.... sounds fine.....can hear the AC now when you get on it and it says...give me more....

now have about 500 miles on the set up...... seems to run great...... it is definitely cooler as I was in a PGR escort the other day going 15 mph for awhile with temps near 90 outside.....it would have burned up before.... no problem with this set up.

Filled up this afternoon with 196 mile trip and only put in 4.02 gallons..... Can't complain

Loving it. Thanks to all the forum posts and vendors with the products available to help us all.......

Sounds like you have a good combination. Congrats on getting it all to orchestrate so well.

Now, get out there and enjoy it!!

Plug and play. Literally under 5 minute install. I have the VIED on my 12 ultra with v&h dresser duals and twin slash rounds. Love it. No issues.

XiEDs are plug and play, yes - you do have to attach the ground wires to the battery negative terminal, thats a small hassle, but once done, you're good to go.

I am not mechanical and definitely a very easy install....plug and play. Easy on the Ultra as they are just behind the right side cover by the passenger footrest. Battery negative is easy to get to, also.....right under the seat and don't have to remove the ECM and other things on top of the battery.
