I have an Excel spread sheet named "The Cost of Chrome"
It shows every mod, when I installed it and how much it cost...
I was bored at work today so I brought it up to date. Damn! All that stuff in my signature was not cheap!
I have spent over $5000.00 on mods in about a year and half.
That means I am spending about as much on mods as my payment is!
That doesn't include my condor chock or cleaning supplies.
Now fess up guys, there has to be at least one of you who has the mod bug worse than me... Be honest now, tell the truth...
One more thing, for Gods sake please don't no one tell my wife about this!
The sad thing about mods is you never recoup what you spend. I don't want to see how much I spent cause if and when I sell my baby I don't wanna cry over money I will never get back.
absolutely no way I would track it or want to know - I am well over $5k
+1, but I do have all the receipts in a box. PFWhiz, $5K in a year and a half???? Shame on you! You better catch up, you're falling way behind. Crack into that motor, you can catch up fast!
Hell no! I didn't keep track on my RK and definitely won't on my RG. Too many people around would freak out (including me) if they knew exactly how much was going into this. Better to just do it a little at a time and put the receipts safely away and out of view only to be saved in case something goes wrong with that part. HAHA!
Check your policy, my last bike had a cap of $3k that they would cover for extras/aftermarket. After that, its all out of my pocket.
$3k seems to be the amount they give you - that is not the limit on the policy
you have to choose to insure the bike for what you have done
my bike currently has a $7k accessories option, that is $3k or $4k from the policy with the extra added on, and I pay $10 more per year for that extra coverage should something happen to my bike
the normal policy usually includes a certain amount, but you can alway add more
The sad thing about mods is you never recoup what you spend. I don't want to see how much I spent cause if and when I sell my baby I don't wanna cry over money I will never get back.
