Wanting to view oil flow thru engine to determine where in oil clean cycle the oil is before and after going thru the filter.

This is 04 TCb, slightly different, just the balance cams additional with filter screen in valve body. Directions are the same. I have a 08 Dyna and will put it together shortly. Old feed is from your tank under transmission. Mine is the tank under the seat but still same principial.

Doesn't show me the oil flow Mike. I recall in other manuals oil flow is shows from pump all the way around the engine in a diagram similar to the breather diagram on page 3-15.
What I want to know is, if I were to put a nipple on a puck fashioned from an old filter and pumped the oil out from it, would oil cycle thru the engine before exiting that nipple which would include flushing the sump. I am familiar with the scavenger system from Rogue chopper, it just seems like there's got to be an easier way. If old oil can be pumped thru an exit point like a nipple it would be much easier. I've heard and read all the opinions and I don't care to go into that again.

it appears that the oil pump sucks from the oil tank and sump at the same time...so I would say maybe...as by the time the used oil gets to the filter that the old and new are mixed somewhat...what amsoil used to do was put a tee in line with the oil sender unit (on cars)...so you could pull the oil out of there until it ran clear, but I would think that you would get more than what you get when you use the gizmo that goes on the tank
