Question No brakes?

Cranked my 09 SG and my front brake lever is hard as a rock when depressed. My bike has abs. The rear brakes are fine when depressed. Any idea why the front brakes won't depress?

Thanks,
Malcolm

Only thing that comes to mind is the cable is binding. Has it ever been lubed?

How cold is it in Georgia and did the calipers get wet recently?

Sounds like the caliper is "frozen" maybe by debris or rust? Did it sit for a long time?

Its been sitting for a week. I washed the front wheel but not the calipers. Frozen is the right word. Should I pull the pads and see if I can depress the pistons?

Ya try that. if that doesn't work, you'll have to pop the piston and sand the ridge off.

Open your bleeder screw and see if that relives the pressure first. That will save you having to file the piston. Mine did almost the same thing. Now I'm doing a full brake refurb. Good luck
