Rhinehart
I had an 07 road king and when I bought it it had rhineharts on it and I loved them. Just recently purchased a new road glide and looking to put exhaust on it and was thinking of getting the rhineharts but am hearing there not good any more. Any truth to this?
My rg is a 103 and the road king I had was a 2007 It seems every where I read people are going with 2 into 1 exhaust now, I just love the look of a true dual exhaust. I read that people say dragos or d and d is the top ones out but there both 2 into 1 that's why I was thinking of getting rhineharts but I heard that they are made in Taiwan now or something. Something that the company wanted to make more money so they get the parts from over seas. Not sure if that's true it's just what I read.

They have changed ownership since you had them on the '07. I've also heard some issues with the tips discoloring or peeling. But I don't think it's wide spread. IMHO, they still sound good.
I wouldn't worry about 2 into 1 or 2 into 2 exhaust unless you're wanting to squeeze out every ounce of power you can get from your bike's motor. If that's the case, a good 2 into 1 will give you what you're after.

I've had the 4" Rineharts on my 09 for 2 seasons now and have had no issues with discoloring tips,I believe that was a problem with the 3.5 inch pipes.I know the V&H Monsters have had issues with peeling chrome on the tips, but I haven't heard of it with the Rineharts.Mine are still lookin good and sounding great.

Any set of pipes can discolor if bike runs poorly. Rinehart racing makes the best pipes imo. I wont put any other aftermarket exhaust on my bikes. The black tips used to discolor years ago but haven't had that issue last few years. Seen chrome flake on a lot of other brands though on friends bikes.
