Default Barrel lock stuck

I found this lock stuck between locked and unlocked. I took it apart hoping I could turn it but "no joy". Any ideas or am I stuck buying a replacement?

Since you have it out, take it to a locksmith. They should be able to get it apart and see what messed up with it.
The right "fix" will also allow you to keep the same key for it.

That may be cheaper than a new key matched lock. Wonder if this will be covered under the manufacturers warranty?

turn it upside down and apply a
"personal massager" to it.
that may shake out whatever piece of grit is in there.

roadking Guys in PHX get their locks jammed all the time from the desert dust.

BTW I also use a massager to unclog the kitchen drain the day after Thanksgiving...don't have to take the pipes apart

Unfortunately, I do not not have a personal massager. Electrical or human!

The good news is that it's covered under the manufacturers warranty.

I thought those cylinder locks were easily foiled, so it seems a bit unkind for one to jam up!

That happened to my tour pack lock. I ground off the top notch (like a gun sight) of one of my spare keys. That key is now my hidout spare key.

The barrel lock on my ignition locked up the same as yours while out on a ride. I put in the key and banged on it lightly while putting pressure and eventually it unlocked. got home, took out ignition and took to a locksmith. He found rusted/ broken steel springs inside (7 if i recall). He replaced them with brass springs. Only been a year so I can't brag it its the solution but it was cheap enough.

Did you try WD 40 or Graphite?
