Default SE255 cam VS Woods 777

I just dropped a 777 cam in my stock 103 motor Road King.... Well, had it done :-)

Just wanted to give you guys a review.

I have not had it dyno'd, just a map from Fuel Moto and some help from a guy on the forum with the map...... so the only results i can give you are butt dyno results....

The 777s pull like a big dog in the stock 103 motor..... yeah head work and more compression will probably make them run better, but right from the get - WOW!!!

Reving the bike up to about 3,000 and then shifting up so the RPMs drop to 2700ish..... the 777s feel really close to the 255s.... noticeably more bite, but fairly similar.... BUT, if at 3000 RPMs you roll the throttle it has a lot more oommfff!!! Then at around 3,500-4,000 it really kicks in!!! Much more than the 255s......

When I roll on to 3500 or 4000, then shift up, jeepers creepers, it shifts hard and launches :-)

I have attatched my original base line dyno pull a HD dealer did (again, map from FM with the 255s, and the 777s)... - attached a 777s set up same as mine off the FM website, and a little comparison chart I made of different RPM ranges and numbers....

I feel like I did not sacrifice any TQ or HP on the bottom end, and gained a bunch on the mid-top!!!! I highly recomend these cams.... just my $.02....

p.s. Thanks to Jamie at FM, and a forum member for map help, testing, etc.... and mucho thanks to UltraNutz for working his behind off on the Orange Blossom Special!!!!

Yeah..... Had a stage 1 set up for the first 1500-2000 miles...... Had the 255s for almost 2 years / 12k miles..... And just got the 777's last week.

You'll love them!!

Default 777's

I had the 777's on my 96 ci. 2011 FLTRX they were bad a**! Have since traded the bike off but fuel moto did the 107, all the work including the headwork 2-1 D&D Fatcats, ran like a streak of you know what! You'll love them! Had a opportunity to snag a CVO FLTRXSE and couldn't pass up the deal.

that'll be my next move.... 107 and heads.... I'm waiting for FM to open up a shop in Texas!! They got one in Mississippi, so that's probably where I'll get mine done.... When the bike is paid off :-) at this rate, it'll have about 50k miles on it before it's actually mine...... Perfect time for a new top end :-)

Those are some good numbers without compression or headwork. Glad ya like them! 255s are a waste for sure.

555's a bit left on the torque curve and strong without heads or compression. With the 107, they are much better as I would think either 555's or 777's would be. I went with the 555's before the 107 and head work because of the potential for a bit of softness under 2500. The 555's literally lost nothing and I didn't want to sacrifice low end grunt. Having the 107 now makes me ponder 777's. Ya never know. Can do cams in my sleep after doing the 107. Good springtime pre riding project [maybe] for next year.

I thought the 555's were more to the left too..... Until I came across this comparison dyno on FM's site......

I looked at about every dang dyno run I could find on Woods and FM's site..... Might be better choices or combos out there, but I've smiling ever since I first twisted the throttle with these cams :-)
