Default blue tooth capacity for tuners

Why has it taken so long for the companies to adopt this technology? In a strong 4g signal area they could tune your bike on the fly..

a "smart enough" ecm should react to sensor input.

everything should be onboard.

so maybe the "smart enough" ecm/tuner is the real question

a "live" interface could brick your bike if out of range or allow a 13 year old with an ipad to hack in.

a closed computer system is more reliable and secure

Yes Sir, Great idea. Why do you need a dyno? just bluetooth the diagnostic to your phone and have the tuner tell you what speed / gear / rpm configuration he needs. Then he sends the new tune direct to your ecm. Very cool.

We all have phones with bluetooth..or most of us. It would vastly improve the tunability...if we can manage drones half a world away we certainly ought to be able to manage a Harley in somebodies driveway..

The limitation with that is the O2 sensors on our bikes are narrow band. When you have the bike dyno tuned they but a wide band sensor up the exhaust pipe to measure. The really good auto tune systems have you install wide band O2 sensors to use in the process.
