I think you are going to really like it ! The 2 wheeler is some serious fun, but so are the Trikes ! You just need to give yourself a true chance .
There is the leaning that will mostly go away .LOL ! Also DO NOT put your feet down ! Some things are hard to give up.
After you do some time in the twistys you will gain confidence. There isn't many 2 wheelers that can keep up with ya. Also use the push- pull method of steering. After a bit you can get used to it & not wear yourself out.

thanks everyone for the help and encouragement. Without the input and knowledge of some obviously experienced folks here I might never have looked into what I believe was the best option for me. Ill update once I get some riding time in. Since it snowed here today took the edge off the 3 plus week wait for the trike to get here.

Freewheeler
I've always rode two wheels but when my wife decided to ride we started her out on small two wheelers. She just could not get it down so we decided three was the way for her. We started with an 883 Sportster conversion which turned out to be way underpowered. Sold that and she decided a Vrod is what she liked. Had that converted and now have plenty of power but it is not something you can ride all day. We just picked up a Freewheeler and we are sold. This thing is a blast and comfortable to boot. The thing I like best is the steering effort. Both the conversions required considerable effort turning. The Freewheeler is amazing, steering effort is almost 0. I can say that it has got me thinking of trading my Ultra for one. Going to test a Tri Glide out soon for myself.

A year or so later. finally got the tire pressure readings and air shocks dialed in for the best non back jarring ride I could get . Really just enjoying riding the heck out of the freewheeler. Getting one was a good move for me. The free is a great trike. I ride solo so it is perfect for trips or around town.
