Theres a lot of variables with the front tire on Tri-Glides...
The first tire on my 2011 i changed at 14thousand miles, And that might of been too soon' Because my second tire stock like the first, Has 29 thousand miles but it will be changed within a week...

I've gotten as little as 8,000 miles out of a stock front tire (lots of aggressive riding in the curves) and as much as 18,000 out of a stock front tire.

I am on either my 6th or 7th front tire on Tri-Glides.

That is going to slow down though. I currently have a rear tire, mounted in reverse, that has 20,000 miles on it and it still has about 50% of the tread left.

Sorry didn't mean to hijack the OP's thread but it just seemed like the place to ask the question.
Ride safe, enjoy.
Avon is now making a front tire specifically for Trikes that has extra depth tread.

It has been all nearly all city riding and I ride hard round the corners in hot weather so that will help the faster wear rate.

I replaced my stock front tire at 16,000 miles. Rear tires are in great shape.

Yep, city and spirited riding will sure cut tire life a considerable amount.

I imagine the tar and chip back roads I take to work three times a week can't be good on them, either, but at least there essentially aren't any curves or hills within thirty miles of here. 15K and 1/16" before the wear bars. I think I'll go with the Avon trike tire in the spring.
