Service Decision To Be Made

Service Decision To Be Made
I went for a nice ride yesterday and now have 966 miles on the odometer on my '17 T Glide.
The dealership where I traded is 70 miles away. There is one dealership 20 miles away and another 25 miles away. There is a really good Indy shop about 15 miles away.
If you schedule a service for a certain day, can you reasonably expect, if you get there early, to hang out and ride home the same day?
I would really like to go with the Indy shop for the regularly scheduled maintenance trips because he really does have a good reputation. He worked at a dealership for 20 some odd years and has operated his shop for many more.
I am concerned if using the Indy might cause problems if I have any warranty issues. I did buy the extended agreement.
My first new vehicle of any kind, ever. lol

We have had phenomenal luck with Antelope Valley Harley. Make an appointment for service. When we drop off the bike they offer to drive us to any of 4 restaurants, and will pick us up when we call. The bikes have always been done by the time we finish breakfast, unless we are having something special done. Call the dealer or indy you want, most are prompt.... or don't go there the next time. Good Luck

Since it sounds like you have your pick of two or three close dealers, plus an indy close by, I would call each one and ask for the exact price of the first service.
I had my choice between my selling dealer (14 miles away) and another Harley dealer (20 miles away) when it was time for my 1,000 miles service. My selling dealer wanted $525.00 without synthetics being used. I called the dealer 20 miles away and they did it for under $300 using all synthetics. I showed up for appointment and it took them about 2 hours.

Thanks guys. I didn't think they could void the warranty. I was kind of concerned that the selling dealer just might not be as helpful when a warranty issue comes up if I use someone else for the service.
Anyway, I decided on the Indy. I called him this morning and made an appointment for later this week.
