I use aluminum foil. Pretty cheap!

I bought the HD $21 one. Bought it after the 5th oil change and resultant mess. Haven't used it yet, waiting for the next oil change interval.

I own a machine shop and tried to come up with all kinds of 'pans' to catch the oil from the filter. Nothing worked well. I hope the HD one does.

I will definitely post to this thread when I try it if someone else hasn't in the meantime.

I bought the orange oil change thingy funnel when I had a couple of softails, and it worked great for them. Traded them both in on my TriGlide, and the first time I tried to change oil - what a mess! Went searching for answers, and the Wiz (and others on the TrikeTalk forum) suggested tilting the bike, as the funnel is designed for oil change on a bike on a kickstand, where the trike is changed flat. I thought it was a little crazy, but sliding my small floor jack under the right rear and tilting the bike and voila! - the orange funnel thingy works just like it did on the softail on its kickstand.

That's made for a kickstand bike. Works OK if you put the right wheel up on a ramp like Mark said.
Save your money and make your own disposable unit from a soda bottle.

Some punch a hole in the filter end to let it drain before turning off .... less messy.

I do the 2 liter soda bottle thing. Cut the big end off and part of one side so can see filter. Use filter wrench with extension through bottle cap hole. Tilted the TG and works great. Filter and coke bottle come out together.
